“Le Dalat’s fine food and lovely garden setting make for a charming evening. The restaurant is casual and understatedly elegant, housed in and old Thai house done up in Vietnamese and Chinese antiques. The excellent food is prepared by Vietnamese-trained Thai chefs. A very highly recommended restaurant. Don’t miss a visit to the men’s room to see their unique collection of odd erotic wall art.”

"A one-time private home now holds small dining areas as well as outdoor seating amid a garden, making for an intimate, tranquil meal. Banh yeo, Vientnamese-style crepe, represents a standard that will not disappoint and perhaps exemplifies the cuisine's successful marriage of Southeast Asian ingredients with French cooking methods...An adequate list with a more than usual emphasis on wines, many of which tend to match well with the cuisine's ingredients..."

"I have heard many good things about this place over the years, but have never somehow got round to trying it out. It was a birthday I could not ignore, and since it was not mine, I did not think a six-course gastro treat would be appreciated so I ended up at Le Dalat. The location is in an old house with the dining room split as per the original rooms. The decor is a mass of old pictures and objects going back to the Colonial glory days of Viet Nam.
On the whole, a very good meal in very pleasant surroundings which the birthday girl enjoyed."
