"Vientiane Kitchen is housed in a large open building that incorporates an enormous tree as part of the structure. The main room has tables and chairs, while the elevated rooms surrounding it provide Isaarn-style seating on the floor. The size of the restaurant makes a large menu possible, meaning dishes made with frog, duck’s beak, ant’s eggs and other ingredients rarely encountered outside of Isaarn are available. Traditional Isaarn favourites like barbecued chicken and som tom are on hand, but of no better quality than what are served in other local restaurants."
